Disney World’s Be Our Guest Restaurant Review

Walt Disney World Restaurant Review Be Our Guest

Bonjour, Disney friends! Today, we’re stepping into the enchanted halls, including the Forbidden West Wing complete with the enchanted rose. It’s one of Magic Kingdom’s most iconic and immersive dining experiences: Be Our Guest Restaurant in Fantasyland.

So, cue the ballroom music, and let’s waltz through whether this castle dinner is truly worth the royal price tag.

Let’s start with the obvious — this is themed dining at its finest. From the moment you walk across the bridge and into the castle gates, it feels like you’ve stepped straight into Beauty and the Beast. The stone architecture, stained glass windows, the water features, lights and ornate decor completely transport you.

The restaurant is divided into three distinct dining rooms:

  • The Grand Ballroom – chandeliers, floor-to-ceiling windows with falling “snow,” and soaring ceilings. It’s straight from the movie and it is gorgeous. This is the MAIN room and you will walk through this room to get to either of the others.
  • The West Wing – tucked away in the back is a doorway that taks you to the West Wing and it is dark and moody, with flickering lightning and the enchanted rose under it’s glass dome. It is a beautiful erie feeling, in a way.
  • The Castle Gallery – modeled after Belle’s private library, it’s lighter and quieter, with a giant music box centerpiece of Belle and Beast dancing. To me, this is a really nice area but the least dramatic of the three rooms.

If you want the most dramatic “wow” factor, try requesting the West Wing when you check in.

Let’s talk food. Be Our Guest has transitioned to a prix-fixe, three-course menu for lunch and dinner — and yes, it’s a signature dining experience, which means it’s on the pricier side. You’re looking at about $70 for adults, so expectations are high.

The menu is French-inspired with Disney flair, and includes:

  • Appetizers like French onion soup, escargot (yes, really), a meat and cheese charcuterie board, or a seasonal salad.
  • Entrées such as filet mignon, seafood bouillabaisse, roasted chicken, or a plant-based ratatouille.
  • Desserts served as a trio — including the signature “Grey Stuff” (which is delicious, by the way).

The food is elevated compared to typical park dining — especially the filet, which is very tender and according to our group super flavorful. But keep in mind, you’re partially paying for the experience. The presentation is beautiful, but don’t expect Michelin-star level here. It’s Disney-fancy, but I have had better Disney food, for sure. Note: I am Gluten Free so my options were limited. I did have BREAD though! Gluten free rolls with dairy free butter and they were some of the best I’ve had!

Now here’s where opinions vary: Be Our Guest is not a character dining meal in the traditional sense.

You don’t get meet-and-greets at your table, but the Beast makes a grand entrance and walks through the dining rooms every so often. You can wave and snap a few photos from your seat, but there’s no autograph or close-up moment.

If you’re expecting a full Belle-and-Beast interaction, you may be disappointed. We didn’t even see Belle at all, like you used to years ago. But for atmosphere and immersion? It’s still top tier.

So let’s get real — is it worth the high price?

It depends on what you’re looking for:

YES if…

  • You love Beauty and the Beast and want to dine in the movie.
  • You’re celebrating a special occasion or looking for that “bucket list” meal.
  • You value atmosphere and storytelling as much as, or maybe more than, the food.

Maybe not if…

  • You’re on a tight budget.
  • You want traditional character dining or casual eats.
  • You prefer maximizing park time over long meals.

Be Our Guest is one of those “Disney magic moments” that you’ll remember long after your trip. It’s not just a meal — it’s an experience. While the food is good enough, what makes it special is the atmosphere, the immersion, and that feeling of stepping into a fairytale. That’s what you are paying for!

If you’re a Disney adult who loves details, theming, and a little culinary adventure, this one’s worth trying at least once. But, for me, I think I liked the Buffet version from several years back a bit more than this menu. The BEST part, we got the latest dining reservation available. So, the park was closed and practically empty when we left. It was amazing walking through the park with that vibe. I highly suggest trying to snag that late night time slot, if you can swing staying out that late!
