Disney Dream Stays – The Best Resorts at Walt Disney World

Hello, dreamers, and welcome back to Traveling Dollars, your go-to Disney Adults where we sprinkle pixie dust on your travel plans and help make your next Disney trip unforgettable!

Today is all about where the magic continues after you leave the parks. That’s right—we’re talking the best resorts to stay at on Walt Disney World property. Whether you’re a first-time guest or a Disney veteran, where you stay can shape your entire entire Disney Vacation experience. We’ll walk through our top picks across Value, Moderate, and Deluxe resort categories—plus share some pro tips and our personal favorites.

Let’s dive right in!

VALUE RESORTS:

Starting with Value Resorts—they’re budget-friendly, super themed, and perfect for families. Our top pick?
Art of Animation. Especially if you’re traveling with little ones—those themed suites for Finding NemoCars, and The Lion King are a hit. And, the second bathroom is a total game changer! Plus, Skyliner gives you quick, easy access to Epcot and Hollywood Studios.

Another super budget-friendly option: Pop Century hits that sweet spot of fun theming and convenience. You’ve got those larger-than-life icons from the ‘50s through the ‘90s, and it’s on the Disney Skyliner.

MODERATE RESORTS:

Now onto the Moderate category—more immersive themes, slightly better dining options, and a little more space.

Top of our list here is Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort. It’s beautifully landscaped, and—yep—also on the Skyliner. It feels a little like a tropical escape, and it has that laid-back island vibe. And we can’t forget Port Orleans – French Quarter. Smaller, charming, and beignets. Need we say more? This is what actual New Orleans should be. Okay but—real talk—Port Orleans is where I go when I want that peaceful Disney bubble without the hustle.

DELUXE RESORTS:

Alright, let’s talk Deluxe. These are the top-tier experiences—closer to the parks, luxury accommodations, and often amazing dining.
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is a classic. You’re on the monorail line, you’ve got views of Cinderella Castle, and you can grab a Dole Whip without stepping foot in the parks.

Animal Kingdom Lodge is incredible too—you wake up and see giraffes outside your balcony. It’s such a unique resort experience.
Also worth a shoutout: Disney’s Yatch and Beach Club Resorts. You’re steps from Epcot and have access to Stormalong Bay, the best pool on property—lazy river and all.

PERSONAL PICKS + TIPS:

Tough one, but I’m gonna say the Grand Floridian. I love being able to walk to Magic Kingdom, and there’s something absolutely iconic about the views! It’s so elegant and cozy, at the same time. Beautifully, recently renovated rooms. Total escape.
Pro tip: Even if you’re not staying at a Deluxe, you can always dine or explore those resorts. Make a dining reservation at Polynesian’s O’hana or 1800 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian and arrive early to soak in the atmosphere.
So whether you’re going all out or keeping things budget-friendly, Disney has a resort that fits every kind of magic-maker.
