A Perfect Day in Walt Disney World’s EPCOT

Our idea of a perfect day in Epcot.

Today, we’re taking you on a perfect day in EPCOT — the park where you can travel around the world, all in one day. A Perfect Day in EPCOT is packed with fun, food, and flair. Whether you’re a foodie, a thrill-seeker, or just someone who wants to sip and stroll, EPCOT’s got something for everyone. So, let’s dive in…

EARLY MORNING

Alright — step one to a perfect EPCOT day: Get. There. Early-ish. The park usually opens at 9 AM, but if you’re staying on-property, you can also take advantage of Early Entry. And what’s the first thing we’re doing? Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. You may need a Lightning Lane for this, if you don’t rope drop Epcot — it’s one of the best rides Disney has ever made, in my opinion. I. LOVE. IT!
Seriously…. It’s a reverse launch, it’s in the dark, it’s got an epic soundtrack… It’s like Space Mountain’s cooler, cosmic cousin.
After Guardians, we like to try and hop on (the currently under construction) Test Track, if it is open but it is notorious for being unavailable for those early hours so check your My Disney Expereince App!) Or, Soarin’ Around the World while standby times are still low. And if you’re a Spaceship Earth fan (a classic!), ride it before the lines pick up.

MID-MORNING – SNACK & SCIENCE

Now that you’ve had your thrill fix, it’s time for a quick snack — definitely a Joffrey’s cold brew and maybe a yummy croissant from Connections Café.

Don’t skip The Seas with Nemo & Friends and Living with the Land. They’re chill and just, classic EPCOT. And honestly? Living with the Land is weirdly relaxing and super cool if you’re into gardening and sustainability. I have perfect garden and greenhouse dreams for my future and they are inspired by my trips through Land!

LUNCH – FESTIVAL OR WORLD SHOWCASE

By now, it’s lunch — and EPCOT is basically a buffet of global awesomeness. If there’s a festival going on — Food & Wine, Flower & Garden, Festival of the Arts — snack around the booths. Grab a few small plates and share! Try things like filet from Canada or the bao buns from China

If you want a sit-down lunch, San Angel In is is gorgeous and has such a cool vibe. Located inside the Mexico pavilion, this restaurant sits beside the Grand Fiesta Tour boat ride. We love the dim-lit setting and the relaxing atmosphere. It is a great way to escape from the crowds for a bit too!

AFTERNOON – CULTURE & CHARACTERS

Now it’s time to slow down and explore World Showcase. Which is really something I could spend so many days, no weeks, maybe even months exploring! I find something new every time that I slow down and really look around World Showcase. I think so many people rush through and don’t realize what they are missing.

Hit the pavilions, watch the shows — take a breathtaking look at the Great White North with Canada’s Circle Vision 360, take in a film showcasing the grandeur, charm and romance of one of Europe’s most enchanting countries: France’s Impressions de France, or go Behind the Great Wall with Reflections of China.

You can meet characters, too! Elsa and Anna in Norway, Mulan in China, Belle in France, and more. It’s a great time to catch a ride on Frozen Ever After while you’re near Norway — just check the wait time. It can get a bit long but I really LOVE this ride!

MIDDAY BREAK – CHILL OUT

If it’s hot or you’re hitting that post-lunch wall, pop into the American Adventure show, it’s pretty epic, inspiring and, it’s air-conditioned so it is a perfect recharge opportunity. Or, take a break in the Japan pavilion and check out the variety of gardens. These gardens showcase traditional Japanese elements and create a serenity: It’s peaceful, shady, and honestly a hidden gem!

DINNER – AROUND THE WORLD

Dinner time at EPCOT? So many choices. You can go elegant with Le Cellier in Canada, go adventurous with Spice Road Table in Morocco, or go fun with Teppan Edo in Japan for hibachi-style dining. Another popular choice is Rose & Crown in the UK — fish and chips with a view of the lagoon? Yes please!

EVENING – NIGHTTIME MAGIC

As the sun sets, make your way to Spaceship Earth — it looks stunning with the new Beacon of Magic lights. Then grab your spot around World Showcase Lagoon for EPCOT’s nighttime spectacular. Whether it’s Luminous: The Symphony of Us or whatever’s playing during your visit — it’s emotional, it’s musical, and it’s the perfect finale.

Pro tip: Get a dessert from a nearby booth or a drink from one of the pavilions, and watch the show with a treat in hand.

So that’s our perfect day in EPCOT — from cosmic thrills to World Showcase chills, it’s a park that really lets you explore everything.
