Hey friends! Today we’re taking a relaxing (and delicious) stroll through one of my favorite underrated areas in all of Disney: the BoardWalk. Tucked between Epcot and Hollywood Studios, the BoardWalk is a charming promenade with games, live entertainment, dining, and some seriously great views. Whether you’re looking for date-night vibes, a peaceful midday break, or a spot to end your night with fireworks and a cocktail, the BoardWalk really delivers.
First off, the atmosphere. Disney’s BoardWalk has this old-school, East Coast charm — think string lights, striped awnings, street performers, and the smell of funnel cake in the air. It feels nostalgic without being outdated. It’s romantic, it’s family-friendly, and it’s a great escape from the typical park hustle. You don’t need a park ticket to enjoy BoardWalk, which makes it a favorite for locals, resort guests, and anyone looking for something low-key and magical in the evenings.
Let’s talk food, because BoardWalk has some gems.
- Flying Fish is your go-to for a fancy night out — upscale seafood, beautiful plating, and one of the most underrated wine lists on property.
- Trattoria al Forno is a cozy Italian spot great for brunch or dinner, and it used to host the Bon Voyage character breakfast with Rapunzel and Ariel. No characters currently, but the food still slaps.
- BoardWalk Deli (formerly BoardWalk Bakery) is a solid stop for grab-and-go sandwiches and pastries.
- And then there’s the Pizza Window, our favorite and a cult favorite for a reason. Is it the best pizza you’ll ever eat? Maybe! It is a huge foldable slice and, it is so magical when you’re eating it by the water after a long park day. Plus, a great late night meal when you realize you are headed back to your room after a late night in the parks and are suddenly starving!
Looking for something sweet? Check out Cake Bake. It is absolutely gorgeous. A little more on the pricey side. I had a Black Swan, that I honestly didn’t love. But, we also tried some Macarons that were loved by the entire group!
This is also one of the few spots on property where you can really lean into Disney nightlife without a theme park. AbracadaBar is hands-down one of the coolest themed bars in all of Disney World. It’s styled like an old magician’s hideout with little illusions and tricks hidden all around the bar.
Whether you’re looking to sip something fancy or just people-watch with a drink in hand, BoardWalk nails it.
At night, this place comes alive. Think boardwalk-style street performers: jugglers, musicians and carnival-style games that give you that vintage amusement park energy.
You’re right across the lake from the Yacht & Beach Club Resorts, and you can walk to the Epcot International Gateway, which makes this the perfect post-park hangout.
And, you can often catch Epcot fireworks from the BoardWalk bridge, no ticket needed!
If you’re considering a stay, BoardWalk Inn & Villas is stunning. It’s elegant but playful — with a gorgeous lobby, charming rooms, and a pool with a large waterslide. What really makes it great, though, is the location. You’re walking distance to both Epcot and Hollywood Studios, and a boat ride away from both as well. It’s convenience and atmosphere in one.
Disney’s BoardWalk is one of those rare spots that offers relaxation, entertainment, and dining all in one. It’s ideal for a resort day, a romantic date night, or just a peaceful place to recharge. And it’s one of those Disney experiences that feels just a little more grown-up — while still being full of whimsy.
