Greetings Terrans! GOTG invites you to ‘Take off on an intergalactic chase through space and time with the Guardians of the Galaxy.’ It is absolutely as amazing as it sounds! The Disney World site describes GOTG: Cosmic Rewind as a ‘family-thrill attraction features the first ever reverse-launch on a Disney coaster and is one of the largest fully-enclosed coasters in the world! An innovation from Walt Disney Imagineering—this coaster rotates 360 degrees so you can focus on the action!’

Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is Epcot’s first roller coaster and it opened May of 2022. There is a 42 in ch height requirement. Ride is a dark, thrill ride for Tweens, Teens and Adults. This right might be a bit too much for littles. Currently, you must Use Virtual Queue or Lightning Lane Single Pass Only. But, standby queue opens February 25, 2025.

One of my favorite rides of all time. The theme, the queue, THE PRE-SHOW, the characters, the music, the mystery of which song you’ll hear, the ride car, the 360 rotation. It is full of surprise twists and turns, the reverse launch, the MOON! All of it is so well done. It is really a marvel. Honestly, I was a little worried about this ride the first time we rode it. I thought it might be too jerky for me. I didn’t want to spend the rest of the trip in pain from being slung around all over the place. It was surprising to me that as much as it does move you, it was somewhat smooth. It is certainly a must do for our family.
