Countdown is on…again

We are currently counting down the days to our next trip. A GROUP trip. Outfits are being picked out. Gear consolidation has begun. Suitcases are coming soon (because we had to order new ones!) to start organizing.

I am extra excited about this trip. I think I am really in need of a good long break. Personally, last year was one of the worst. Family health, my health, job, supposed friends, you name it… it wasn’t fun. I was glad to see 2024 go. I am so excited about 2025 and the plans for the future. Working with people I enjoy, found a doctor that is helping me tremendously so I am feeling better than I have in so long, I have removed the people from my life that were damaging to me and my family is healthy and happy. But, I am still a bit exhausted from it all. So, a good long break in our favorite place should do the trick!

This is a place that I know I will enjoy. I know I will have fun. I know I will even relax (which was almost impossible for me last year!) so this countdown is that much more exciting. I have a countdown widget on my phone. My husband has two on his phone because apparently, he is doubly excited! 🙂

This is a new kind of trip for us. We are going with some of our kids and another family. While we have taken large trips in the past, it has always been with our own family members whom left the planning entirely up to us. So, it wasn’t much different than planning for ourselves. Just adding more people to reservations and lightning lanes, etc.

This trip involves friends that we travel with rather frequently but never to Disney with all of our kids. Having adult children now also makes things interesting. Both families have older ‘kids’ and younger kids. To me, there is no better place to vacation in this scenario than Walt Disney World.

Our older kids can do their own thing, if they want. We can take the younger group to do things. We can separate by family. We can come together in a variety of groups for dinner. There’s no better option!

Walt Disney World vacations are good in all scenarios but to most people they can be overwhelming to plan. I have to remind myself of that sometimes. We’ve done it so many times now that we feel like it is such a normal thing these days. But there were days when I was searching Tips & Tricks for Disney Vacations’ or ‘Disney on a budget’ and the numerous other travel advice that is needed to make the most of your Disney World vacation.

I never imagined back then that I would be help other families plan the perfect Disney vacation all these years later. It is something that I love to do and I hope that I can continue for many years in the future. I’m a proud Disney Adult! 🙂 I am a proud Disney mom and love making memories with my children. I am a proud Disney wife and there’s nowhere I would rather be with my favorite person on earth than the most magical place on earth. I am a Disney daughter (and daughter in law) and a Disney friend. I am always up for a trip and always ready to help you plan yours! So, if you are tired of googling all of your options and need some help, send me a quick note and we can get started planning the BEST VACATION EVER!
